Turns out that before he became president, Dubya had a private email address. Why am I not surprised that it was an America Online address? I doubt that he could handle the rigors of a real POP account.

At one point, I was joking with Tom about setting up a company with a name like "ebuzzard.com" with the goal of selling assets of dotcoms going out of business. Kind of like this one, for example. While they have the mandatory Foosball and pool tables, of course, I found the list of domain names to probably be their most interesting asset.

We installed the Final Candidate

We installed the Final Candidate of Mac OS X on one of our machines last Friday; all I can say is that it's really gorgeous, and not at all difficult to learn, either. I'd not used the new OS since just a bit of playing around with the Public Beta; it's come a long way since then. It was a perverse thrill to have a program hang (it is still pre-release, after all), Force Quit the program, and the machine just cruised merrily on, without requiring a reboot or bringing down the whole OS.

Updates will be (and as you can see, have been) a bit spotty for the next few days; we're in the Big Push to wrap up the 4th Edition of JavaScript for the World Wide Web, Visual QuickStart Guide.
