To those of you who're

To those of you who're wondering why we haven't responded to your email: we had a great time on the trip, but it kicked our butts. Tom came back sick (a nasty cold) and is still feeling ill. I left for the trip with a bad case of RSI, was hoping that two weeks with no typing would help the situation, and it didn't. So, between the two of us, neither is in a position to be able to answer the gobs of email that we got while we were away.

So, if you're feeling ignored because we haven't answered you, please don't take it personally. And if you sent us wedding congrats--thanks!

Via Blivet: An Annotated Manifesto

Via Blivet: An Annotated Manifesto for Growth. If you've spent as much time around designers as I have, this is laugh-out-loud funny. Making fun of the wacky stuff artistes say can be like shooting fish in a barrel, but this one is dead-on accurate.

When I see a title

When I see a title like "Quake" for kitties, I have to read the article. It's about CyberPounce, which claims to be

amazing computer entertainment for kitty-cats! This super-cute product was lovingly crafted by game-software experts, under the watchful eye of a leading animal behaviorist, specializing in felines. Irresistible art and animation give way to sounds and movements, designed to attract kitties and humans alike!

Of course, they don't say anywhere on their site what platforms it supports, which generally means that it's Windows-only.

Sincerely Your's is a wonderful rant about grammar and spelling. Some of you should read it. Yes, I mean you.

And if you while you read the previous article you were muttering under your breath the whole time about how darn right she was, Do you have what it takes to be a Word Police Officer?

In the Too Horrible to

In the Too Horrible to Contemplate Department: UPN has announced that they will air an American version of Iron Chef this fall. The Chairman Kaga role will be filled by William Shatner. I am not making this up.
