A merry Newtonmas from us to all our readers. Here's what we'll be eating tomorrow morning.
Dori's travel tip: while you
Dori's travel tip: while you are taking a child to the airport to fly to his Grandma's house, do not pack a gift for said child's cousin that consists of model railroad parts. If you must, do not wrap said gift, particularly as Murphy is likely to pick you out to be a recipient of a random baggage check. If you do not follow these simple rules, prepare to spend a great deal of time explaining wires, little metal bits, and switches to the gentleman checking said baggage.
He also required an explanation of what was inside the box that said "See's Candies," but accepted a description of "Mixed chocolates." He gave me a funny look at the gift of candles, but seemed to understand the concept of a calendar and a framed photo as gifts.
Time we walked through the terminal door at Oakland Airport: 12:15 pm. Time Sean boarded the 2:45 pm flight: 2:55 pm (preboarding). Time spent at airport not standing in one line or another: 10 minutes.
Thankfully, I'm not flying anywhere this holiday season.
