Word of the day:

Blogsturbation: the act of going to a tech conference and paying more attention to your email, your weblog, and Web surfing than to the speaker or other attendees. Usage: Dave Winer talks about Real-time weblogs at conferences, but most of what I've seen at shows where there's Wi-Fi acccess is blogsturbation.

Wireless Masquerading Firewall under OS

Wireless Masquerading Firewall under OS X. A bit too geekily Unix-ish for me, but maybe we can get it working so that our two laptops can share a conection when we're on the road this weekend. Looking further, this is another way to make it work. Or maybe the same way; I didn't look that closely.

Via Yahoo! News: Naked Chicken Plan May Make Feathers Fly

Chickens could fly even faster to the dinner table if an Israeli geneticist gets his way and develops the featherless fowl.

Avigdor Cahaner, from Israel's Hebrew University, has crossbred a small, bare-skinned bird with a regular boiler chicken as part of a research project to develop succulent, low fat poultry that is environmentally friendly.

What surprised me is that I thought that Israeli geneticists were all busy working on creating single-hoofed, cud-chewing pigs. Was this just a byproduct? But be sure to check out the picture--it'll be showing up in your nightmares later (or maybe just mine; but then again, I have strange nightmares).
