Now this is real-time conference blogging: I just whined to Doc about not linking here, and he's not only did so immediately, but he also added us to his Blogrolodex--very cool. But now, it's time to go dress up for dinner (and in a dress, too, really!).

If you're wondering what we're up to, go read David Pogue, Glenn Fleishman, or Doc. They're blogging; we're just kicking back and enjoying hanging out with everyone. From the state of this blog, you wouldn't believe that we'd brought two laptops, would you?

Hey, Doc, if you're going to quote us, link to us, too!

Dictionaraoke: Audio clips from online dictionaries sing the hits of yesterday and today. The fun of karaoke meets the word power of the dictionary.

I'm happy to announce the release of my latest book, Microsoft Office v. X Inside Out. Now available from Amazon.com (it really is, even though they say it's still a preorder), I was pretty happy when I got the books, as you can see here:

I'm writing (and posting this) from just off the coast of British Columbia. I have to say, so far, Mac Mania is surpassing all expectations, and having been on two Geek Cruises before, I had pretty high expectations. Nearly 200 Mac geeks, good wireless connectivity, great speakers... we're having a blast (and it's educational, too!). And it's less than 24 hours since the festivities started. Given the number of attendees, expect there to be a Mac Mania II some time next year, so if you're not here, start saving up now--you won't regret it.
