Boing Boing

Peter-Paul Koch has a new site, QuirksMode. Lotsa good stuff here for JavaScript and CSS quirks and tricks.AIP, RIP
AIP, RIP: the Association of Internet Professionals bites the dust. Damn shame.ITOvertime.com
ITOvertime.com is a site which thoroughly covers one of my hot button issues: that computer programmers should be paid overtime wages when working overtime hours. According to this site, if you're a programmer in CA, worked over 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week in the last four years, and made less than $87K/year, drop 'em a line and see how it goes.
Salaried non-exempt is the answer (imo) to the question of how to both stop the abuse of H1-B visas and stop the forced exodus of the elderly (i.e., over 35-year-olds) from the programming field. Someone experienced who can do a job in 40 hours is only preferable to someone cheap who can do the same job in 80 when you have to pay the latter OT.

Who says that I'm not learning important stuff at OS X Con?
When good geeks go bad
So, you're reading Scoble's blog entries about PDC and you're wondering, why does this Hillel Cooperman guy sound familiar? Here's your hint. Yeah, Hillel ought to be a few hundred hundred miles north today.Indigo Children
I keep running across stuff that mentions Indigo Children, and I was wondering what that meant. Note to self: when reading the phrase in the future, just substitute "spoiled kids," "kids with lousy parents," or "those darn kids these days."OS X Con on Feedster
