I’m happy to unveil the cover of our forthcoming book, Adobe Dreamweaver CS6: Visual QuickStart Guide (available now for preorders!). It’s a bit of a new direction for Peachpit covers. Unlike the previous editions of the book, this one has all of the screenshots in full color. There will be a companion getting started video available at the same time as the book. Big thanks to my co-author Dori Smith, and our editor Nancy Peterson. The book should be available by the end of June in paper and ebook forms.
There were some bonus chapters from previous editions, and now some new ones from this edition. “Bonus chapters” are chapters from previous editions that needed to make way for new content. They tend to be about features that are still in the program, but now out of favor, such as frames and Spry widgets. So we take those chapters out of the paper book (because our publisher sets an upper limit on the paper book length), and make those chapters available for download as PDFs. This time around, we’ve improved the process, and now the ebook editions contain all the bonus chapters. Purchasers of the paper book will still be able to download the PDFs, so everyone wins.
We’re excited about the book; it’s my 43rd book, and it will be our major release for this year. We haven’t seen the hard copies yet, but the page proofs look really good, and we think that people will like the book.

43rd!!!! Wow. I still have yet to finish — or start — my first.
